How to Copy & Paste in DaVinci Resolve 19.1.1

Good companies listen to their users when they change their software - But Excellent ones release free changes in 2 weeks. Here's the editing checkbox preference for copy and paste so many of us wanted!

The new default pasting behavior since DaVinci Resolve 19.1 is to ignore any in and out points on the timeline and instead paste directly to the playhead position.

However, a new editing preference will let you paste to the in and out marks like past versions of resolve. Just check the box in the user preferences location in the image above, and you will not only paste to the inpoint if marked but also constrain the content that is pasted to the outpoint. This could be useful for pasting effects layers that merely act as a filter on a higher track.

As always, the pasting track will target based on the auto-track selectors that are enabled or disabled.

What do you think? Are you a paste-to-playhead kind of person or a paste-to-in and-out point?
