Final Cut Pro X Proxy Mode Explained

FCPX or Final Cut Pro 10.4.9 introduced a new way to make and use proxy files to speed up your workflow and make playback easier. I go over the new FCPX updates with regard to proxy media files covering why you would want to use proxy files, the new choice of ProRes Proxy at different size and H264, how to actually create the Proxies, how to use a timeline and project with mixed proxy files and original media as well as how to link to existing proxy files made by another person or editing system.

The biggest reason this proxy feature update is so important is that it lets anyone work with almost any footage (like 4k, 6k, 8k) on almost any computer from the past 5-7 years without hiccups.
