How to Crossfade Audio in FCPX Tutorial

Final Cut Pro 10.4.9 introduced a quick and easy new way to crossfade or cross dissolve your audio with the click of a single button. Learn how to apply those crossfades and more importantly why you should in this quick creative video tip.

Crossfades are audio transitions between two clips where the first clip's audio fades down in volume while the second clip's volume fades up at the same time. It's a way to polish your edited video and take it to a higher level of polish and finesse. You can think of it as the audio version of a cross dissolved video clip where one goes in while the other goes out.
